Air Pollution Control Training Programme
These workshops are designed to provide air pollution control expertise to regional council resource consents and compliance officers. The workshop will assist with understanding:
- basic concepts of the atmospheric environment and sources of atmospheric pollution
- basic concepts of atmospheric modeling and application, including approved dispersion modeling techniques such as Calpuff, Ausplume, TAPM
- basic air pollution control technologies
- how to implement National Environmental Standards and Regional Air Plans when processing resource consent applications for discharges to air
- assessment of resource consent applications for discharges to air
- the setting of practical consent conditions
- basic air quality monitoring techniques
- the interpretation of monitoring results.
