Call-in of Transpower's North Island Grid Upgrade Project Board of Inquiry Upper North Island Grid Upgrade Proposal
Report and Decision
The Board of Inquiry has released its Final Report and Decision on Transpower’s Upper North Island Grid Upgrade Proposal, as required under section 149 of the Resource Management Act.
The final report and decision has been provided to Transpower, the nine affected councils, all 1244 submitters and the Minister for the Environment. These parties have 15 working days from the date they received the final report and decision to lodge an appeal to the High Court under section 149A of the Resource Management Act 1991 on a question of law only.
Copies of the final report and decision can be viewed at the locations listed in the public notice in newspapers on 18 September 2009.

Draft Report and Decision
The Board of Inquiry released its Draft Report and Decision on Transpower’s Upper North Island Grid Upgrade Proposal on 27 May 2009, as required under section 148 of the Resource Management Act.
The draft report and decision was provided to Transpower, the nine affected councils, all 1244 submitters and the Minister for the Environment. These parties had until 5pm on the 24 June 2009 to provide comment to the Board.
