The Board of Inquiry gave public notice (PDF, 35 KB) of the Inquiry Hearing on 6 March 2008, and the Hearing began at 11.00 am on Tuesday 25 March 2008. The hearing was completed at 12.40 pm on Friday 31 October 2008.
The Inquiry Hearing commenced with the applicant Transpower New Zealand Limited. Transpower evidence and cross examination of the last Transpower witness was completed on Thursday 26 June 2008. Submitters who advised they wish to be heard followed, starting on Monday 7 July 2008 and were completed on Wednesday 8 October 2008.

The Hamilton venue for the hearing was the Claudelands Events Centre (JPG, 195 KB), Brooklyn Road, Hamilton. Please note the public entrance is on Heaphy Terrace.
The Takanini venue for the hearing was Bruce Pulman Park, Walters Road.
The Tokoroa venue for the hearing was Te Wananga o Aotearoa- Tokoroa facility, 71 Ashworth Street.
The Hamilton venue for the 29-31 October hearing was Alcamo Hotel, 290 Ulster Street, downstairs in ‘Conferenza Room’.
Hearing days normally commenced at 9.30 am, have a morning break, lunch break and afternoon break and adjourn for the day at 5.00 pm. On the last hearing day of each week the hearing day ended at 3.30 pm.
