Regional Economic Analysis - Uses of Water in the Waitaki Catchment

This report provides a regional perspective on the costs and benefits of various allocation scenarios for use of water from the Waitaki Catchment. It seeks to understand matters such as the distributional aspects of the costs and benefits and the social impacts. The report contains a regional cost benefit analysis and a regional impact assessment.
This report is intended to be read in conjunction with the National Cost Benefit Analysis of Proposals to Take Water from the Waitaki River (Sinclair Knight Merz, 2004) which is available from the Ministry of Economic Development.
