Business feasibility study for the national 'Out and About' Recycling and Litter Initiative

July 2006, Ref. CR 6

For a national out and about recycling business to be successful it is acknowledged that it would require many stakeholders and industries to work together including retailers, brand owners, advertising companies, and waste contractors, the Tourism Waste Group, Packaging Council and the Ministry for the Environment.

Given the complexity of the issues and the large number of stakeholders, the Ministry for the Environment agreed to undertake a business feasibility study that would help key stakeholders decide how to proceed with a national recycling initiative. The report summaries the findings of this study.
