Lake Water Quality in New Zealand: Status in 2006 and recent trends 1990–2006

This report provides an assessment of lake water quality in New Zealand. It reports on the current state (2006) and recent trends (1990-2006) in lake quality using state of environment monitoring data collected by regional councils and other agencies such as the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research and universities. It builds on a related lake quality report published in 2006 by focussing more on trend analyses and the relationships between land use and lake water quality.
