Kaimoana Survey Guidelines for Hapu and Iwi

October 2003, Ref. ME490 and ME490A

These guidelines provide hapu and iwi with information and a suggested process for undertaking a survey of kaimoana (seafood) resources. The guidelines were prepared by Otaraua Hapu in partnership with Shell Petroleum Mining Ltd and were published by the Ministry for the Environment. The guidelines include a training video, a guideline manual and a CD that includes templates, an electronic version of the guidelines, an illustrated presentation and additional information.
