Contact’s proposal for a new wind farm ‘Hauāuru mā raki’ – Waikato Wind Farm

Contact Wind Limited and Contact Energy Limited (Contact) are proposing to build a new 180-turbine wind farm - Hauā uru mā raki - on the West Coast of the North Island. The Minister for the Environment has called in Contact's applications for resource consent and notices of requirement. You can have a say about the Hauā uru mā raki proposal by making a submission to the Minister.
The Ministry for the Environment has published an information sheet on Contact's proposal which explains how you can have a say in the process and a submission form which you should use if you are making a submission.
Submissions close 5.00 pm Monday 3 November 2008.
