Report of the Māori Reference Group: Advice to the Minister on amendments
to the HSNO Act to better reflect the Treaty relationship between Māori
and the Crown
In response to Cabinet direction [CAB Min (01) 34/16] this paper proposes
options for amending the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO)
Act 1996, and its related operations, “so that it more appropriately
reflects the Treaty of Waitangi relationship”.
This report is Appendix 1 of paper number 8 in the series of cabinet
