Tasman District Council air pages: Includes helpful guide on how to operate a wood burner to minimise pollution.

NIWA: Atmosphere & Climate: The National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research undertakes a variety of atmospheric studies.  This includes a programme of research to assist regional councils meet the national environmental standards for air quality.

UK Air Quality Information:Find the latest information on UK air pollution from these pages supplied by the National Environmental Technology Centre. The bulletin pages are updated hourly as data comes in. A variety of air pollutants are covered for both urban and rural UK locations. There are forecasts for the next 24 hours, an archive of data, information on acid rain, and clickable maps to zoom in on a particular region.

UK Atmosphere, Climate and Environment Information Programme: The Atmosphere, Climate & Environment Information Programme is supported by the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to disseminate information, without advocacy or bias, on the causes, effects of and controls on air pollution and climate change, within the framework of national legislation and international discussion.

UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs air pages: A good smog summary site with causes of summer and winter smog and hints on how to reduce it.
